 Dr Sophie Tieu DVM 

Sophie Tieu is a recent DVM graduate at the Ontario Veterinary College as well as a prior intern at ImmunoCeutica. During her time as an intern with ImmunoCeutica she has published four first-author peer-reviewed publications in the high impact journals Antioxidants and Nutrients, as well as in SURG (Studies by Undergraduate Researchers at Guelph). The publications centered on immuno- and nutraceuticals and their immunomodulatory properties, as well as purported benefits for treating specific conditions/ diseases. In addition to writing literature reviews, Sophie also conducted research experiments which included investigating the immunological effects of low-level light therapy in cell culture models, as well as the role of vitamin D in immune function using murine models of disease. Sophie plans to pursue a small animal rotating internship following graduation at the Ontario Veterinary College to gain clinical experience and to potentially pursue specialization in soft tissue surgery. She also has particular interest in holistic veterinary medicine.
